Our People
Tim Hull
Tim has wide experience as a teacher, lecturer and LEA adviser. He has been a director at CSN Consultancy since 1993 and has managed health-related projects funded by a variety of bodies, including the World Bank, World Health Organisation and UK health and education authorities. Tim currently co-ordinates the Essex and Southend Healthy Schools Partnership and supervises a number of related programmes in partnership with local agencies.
Bill Miller
Bill is also a director of CSN. He has experience both as a teacher and LEA adviser, and has been with the consultancy since 2002. He specialises in professional development and evaluation, and is currently working on national programmes of development of educational improvement services. He is involved in several evaluation projects involving the impact of the work of professionals in several sectors, including Children's Services, Arts and Health, and Social Services. He and has developed expertise in the evaluation of complex, people-centred programmes and is currently working on several Outcomes Based Accountability programmes.
Graham Rushby
After 3 years of accountancy, Graham trained as a teacher. He then worked in the primary sector for 25 years, both as a classroom teacher and a headteacher. For the past 7 years he has been the co-ordinator for the professional development of staff in a local schools’ consortium. He currently manages several projects for school consortia, including a three year arts project and researching the issues faced by special schools in Essex, Southend and Thurrock. He is a newly appointed director of CSN.
Chris Fletcher
Chris is our office manager. She has been with CSN since 1997 and is responsible for all general administrative duties, including the financial running of the business.
Sue Hudson
Following 25 years in farming, Sue managed a DEFRA project to promote local sourcing of ingredients for school meals, working alongside East Anglia Food Link. Sue joined CSN as Co-ordinator for the Essex School Meals Support Group in December 2005, she works closely with schools and the Essex school meals advisor to support improvement in school meals service within the context of healthy schools.
Carol Hull
Carol joined CSN after teaching in a wide variety of primary schools, including 12 years as a headteacher. She has managed major Essex Children’s Fund projects. She currently supports the Healthy Schools Programme in Colchester and Tendring and is education adviser to Barnardo's New Families Project.
CSN also contracts with Alan Van Loen of AWARE Consultancy
Alan is responsible for specific projects concerning sex and relationship education and stress management.

All are current teachers who also work for CSN as part-time teacher consultants supporting the Healthy Schools Programme
Jane Calvert
Jane joined CSN in 2007 to strengthen the team working on sex and relationship projects. She has wide experience as an adviser and trainer in this field. Jane also works for the British Pregnancy Advisory Service.
Judith Harvey
Judith join CSN in April 2008 working with the Braintree Schools as Lead Link Headteacher for their Local Delivery Group. Judith also works with and supports the LDG in Halstead.
Lauren Rampton
Lauren is our Project Administrator based at Hophouse, keeping communications and systems in order for us. Lauren started in September 2009.
Chris Holmes
Having worked as teacher and headteacher in various schools in NE Essex, Chris joined CSN in November 2007 supporting the Healthy Schools Programme. Initially working with schools in Mid Essex and more recently in West Essex, Harlow, Epping and Uttlesford.
Jenny Barksfield
Jenny joined CSN in September 2009 to project manage the PSHE Association project. Jenny has previously worked as a teacher for 15 years, including 10 years as PSHEe and Citizenship coordinator in an Essex high school.
