Research & Evaluation
Many of our projects involve research into current provision and recommendations for further development. Other work focuses on the evaluation of specific initiatives. We are very enthusiatic about process evaluation, and determined that the evaluation contributes to programme development and enhances the skills of all participants.
We have particular expertise in evaluating project outcomes, and measuring the impact of social interventions. We are not afraid of number-crunching, but also emphasise the importance of qualitative outcomes in much of our evaluative work.
Current or recent work includes:
Workshops with a number of local authorities developing strategies for evaluating the impact of their work, using Outcomes Based Accountability.
Research for the Learning Skills Council - transition issues for students with SEN.
Working with the Qualifications and Curriculum Developement Agency to develop curriculum evaluation strategies for schools.
